Testing Grounds believes in the importance of both celebrating ongoing and enduring artistic achievements as well as supporting the next generation of creative production.

With the greatest respect for other established and stimulating Live Art organisations who do great work to promote and celebrate pre-existing, polished performances, we encourage artists to pushing the boundaries of their practice.

Boundaries, Fluidity and dislocations are the focus for the programme, the commissioned artists explicitly exploring ideas around liminal access and departures: the Boundaries of the body – and the distance between bodies, the exploration of sound and the confinements of our physicality, the limitations of the gallery space, of the self, of the other, of individual and group migrations in our geography, identities, fluidity and disruption across artistic and non artistic disciplines.
